School production

At school this year all the 5 and 6 students from our school did a school production. The production we did was called “Circus Splendida”. It was about a circus, they have the opportunity to go on a world tour if they win the sponsorship. The ringmasters assistant and some of the performers where really mean to the clowns and they thought they would’nt win because of them. All the acts where great and I was  Lola the disapearing lady, I was also in three other acts such as the acrobats and the opening parade. In the end after the crowd goes home the sponsorship judge comes over to all the performers and anounces that their circus is going on the world tour and the clowns where actually the heros of the circus!

We  performed it Last week  at the town theatre. It was heaps of fun!!!

An Adventure

I sat in the car with all the windows open and my hand out of the car. We were going camping at Harrietville. Apparently we were ten kilometres away from the site. We get a bit lost, but we find it eventually.

I get out of the car and say hello to the three other families here with us. All the boys are off playing cricket in the clearing. The site is about four metres away from a little creek. I go off to find Gema who is sitting watching the boys looking bored. I run up and say hello to the other seven kids we are staying with!

The next day we all go on a walk up the mountain. We set off, the boys (being boys) run ahead. Gema and I set ourselves the target of finding ten different species of flowers. We see some amazing trees and birds! A little further on the boys jump out from behind a tree, they scare us more than they thought they would. We got to the three kilometre point and had a rest and a snack. Half of us including Gema and I turned back, we wanted to go swimming in the little lagoon back at camp.

The following day (Alexis’s fourteenth birthday) we all go to ‘The Dredge’, a seventy meter deep waterhole!!! Gema and I nervously go out on the floating mats. A bunch of teenagers shout to each other “fifty bucks if you can hit those girls!!” Sure enough it hit an unsuspecting Gema on the leg. We kept the tennis ball as revenge! ‘The Dredge’ was fun but a little scary at the edge where you just see

 Down, down, down!!!

All of us had a great fun camping trip swimming in the creek and the little lagoon, going to ‘The Dredge’ and on the big walk!

My Favorite Things

Hi! I’m Freya and I’m in grade 6 in mrs.C’s class this year.

 In the last half of this year I am going traveling with my family we will go to Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and maybe
Egypt. We will do this over about 6 months. My good friend Cointha is on a nine month adventure in
Europe.

 I am really excited abut this blog and I will try to keep it regularly updated. 

My favorite subject at school is writing. My favorite food is cupcakes. My favorite song changes about every two seconds but my favorite band is the Cat Empire. I like to be neat and tidy. My favorite book is the thief lord by Cornelia Funke but I also liked a series of unfortunate events and the spiderwick chronicles. 

That’s me. I will keep you updated on traveling plans and schoolwork and so on.
